Miroku reunites with a girl he once courted, Koharu, and decides to leave her in the care of a certain village. However, Kanna, the demon and older sister of Kagura, appears there and steals Koharu's soul using a mirror that absorbs souls. The other villagers who also had their souls stolen are manipulated into attacking Inuyasha and the others.
